Paul Thomas Anderson ha dirigido el más reciente videoclip de Joanna Newsom para el tema Divers.[su_spacer][/su_heading][/su_spacer]
En un principio sólo se podía acceder a él en teatros, pero ya está publicado online. Anderson trabajó en conjunto con el artista Kim Keever, quien es conocido por la creación de estos paisajes submarinos fantásticos con tanques de agua, hielo seco y luces de colores. El clip fue filmado en el estudio de Joanna.

Joanna Newsom fue narradora y actriz de reparto en la película de 2014 Inherent Vice de P.T. Anderson.

Cuando fue entrevistada por la revista Entertainment Weekly por el álbum, dijo: «Yo… pasé un año o dos en los arreglos instrumentales y doblajes. Quería que el carácter y los colores de la instrumentación cambiaran drásticamente entre canción y canción, para lo que se necesitó una gran cantidad de colaboradores y un largo proceso de interacción con cada uno de ellos. Además, describió el proceso de hacer el álbum como «probablemente el más divertido que he tenido grabando».

Divers es el cuarto álbum de la cantante de 33 años.
